Biography

Between the rusty cracks of weathered floorboards and wind tattered stone was where Honoko Fujimoto came tumbling out into this world alone. Nothing more than a wailing babe eager for the embrace of something other than the vast loneliness that permeated from the steps of the Brume. Her father long passed and her mother finally succumbing to the plight of impoverishment, she was born with nothing to her name and no fortune to see dawn's break. At least until pity saw intervention from a wandering maid running errands.Taken in and hidden away, the small child grew with each day. And so too did the traits that made her stand out and none too favorably in the eyes of Ishgard. From the pinnae ears sprouting from her head to the petite rows of fang and claw that seemed to become more pronounced with each passing moon, her birth was nothing short of an anathema. One might have wondered why her presence was seen in such disfavor if not for the gratitude placed upon House Haillenarte. Given a proper education and a warm bed, it was her kind hearted nature and eagerness to please that kept her station secure. The need for hired help and blow to standing within the community were but an additional bolster to her stay.Growing up she learned of their fall from grace, their loss of the Stone and Steel Vigils. And despite the whisperings of the masses, it did nothing to deter the soft spoken hare from her fervent loyalty to those that had taken her in. Sadly however, such peaceful halcyon days never seemed to last.If she were anyone but, perhaps the error of her ways would have been forgiven. Told to always cover up when out on errands in town, normally she was more stout and mindful of such warnings; even if she herself never knew why. Yet still it came without mercy.Just a few wares for the preparation of the night's supper, nothing more. And as she kept her cloak pulled up and her conversation short, everything was going seamlessly. At least that was until noticing the gentle sobbing of a young boy on her trek back home from the market. In a fate far similar to her own, there he was cold and alone; wishing for nothing more than something to soothe the ache that plagued his stomach so. Without thought, she deviated while pulling out an extra bundle of rolanberries for him.All was well, at least she thought as he dug into them with reckless abandon. his face smearing in their red delight. But it was as she offered a beaming smile back in response, her world came crumbling down in but a moment. Finally on display for not only the world to see but the child before her, canines far too pronounced met with him to see. Perhaps the only trait given from her father, au ra in nature was every bit draconic as the stories and stigmata left room for.The aftermath of the events that followed were a stinging reminder that the plumette would carry with her for the for the rest of her days. And after her unceremonious retreat from the only place she had known and called home, she set out with the promise not to return; not until she could become stronger and change the injustices that blighted Ishgard and to return the kindness that had once been shown to her. With nothing but the rhythmic sound of chocobo carriage did she leave, destined for the Jewel of the Desert. The great city of Ul'dah. Perhaps this newfound life as an adventurer would suit her.
